Find your inner characters!

Level 2: Characters & Relationships is where we utilize those improv fundamentals learned in Level 1 and dig deeper into the relationships and emotions that build stronger characters. This eight-week improv class teaches you that if we accept the moment and feel in-the-moment, then the audience comes to know our characters through their patterns of emotional behavior. And then the audience loves seeing those patterns play out over detailed worlds. At the end of this class, students will be able to perform 2-Person Scenes “about” emotionally-driven characters and relationships (opposed to plot/narrative) that move forward (rather than being stuck in conflict/negation) and are engaged in the environment (and not standing center stage talking).

Prerequisites: Level 1 - Introduction to Improv. (18+)

Class size: 12 students maximum

Location: Innovation Portal (Downtown Mobile)

Class length: 2 hours (16 hours total)

Schedule: 8 consecutive sessions on the same day and time as the first class unless otherwise stated. Sessions; Once a week for eight weeks

Students MUST be present for the FIRST and LAST classes without exception. Missing class is never advised, but participants are allowed to miss up to two class sessions and still remain eligible for class advancement.

There are no make-up classes.
