Level 1: Principles of Improv is the perfect starting place for those with zero improv experience or for those wanting to refresh their improv fundamentals. This six-week improv class introduces you to the concepts and principles of improvisational comedy. You'll learn to trust yourself as you explore the basic pillars of listening, being present in the moment, impulse & spontaneity, taking risks, and finding agreement (making & accepting offers). You participate in group exercises and games all in a supportive environment that believes in trusting yourself and failing joyfully.

Who Should Attend:

This class is open to all. (ages 18+)

Class size: 12 students maximum

Location: Innovation Portal (Downtown Mobile)

Class length: 2 hours (12 hours total)

Schedule: 6 consecutive sessions on the same day and time as the first class unless otherwise stated. Once a week for six weeks

Students MUST be present for the FIRST and LAST classes without exception. Missing class is never advised, but participants are allowed to miss up to two class sessions and still remain eligible for class advancement.

There are no make-up classes.
